Chili Parlor Bar

Our usual pilgrimage to the Chili Parlor Bar ("I wish I was in Austin, in the Chili Parlir Bar. Drinkin' Mad Dog Margaritas, and not carin' where you are" - Dublin Blues, Guy Clark). It's a dive bar/restaurant very near the capitol and gets a mixed crowd. We come for those Mad Dog Margaritas (made with Mezcal in place of tequila). Kate has a vegetarian Chilli (hey, "there ain't no beans in chilli, you never water good whiskey down", Tom Russell), And Reg has an enchilada plate that comes with a grilled steak. Really yummy.

We avoided this place for years 'cause Kate thought they wouldn't have any vegetarian options but she was persuaded to try it out.
