We saw
Sarah Shook & The Disarmers at the
Rustic Tap on 6th St. back in late January -- one of our first bands on this trip to Austin. The opening act,
Garrett T Capps was really great as well -- he's from San Antonio and well worth a listen. Sarah is a tiny wisp of a thing but she sure can belt out some tales of heart ache, woe and whiskey. I enjoyed the music having been a fan of her for quite a while now. That night it was chilly and the venue was outdoors, albeit covered with a tent for the winter season. I was not at all keen about all the cigarette smoke or those who arrive late and crowd the stage pit. But, it was an adventure. .... Oh yes, and Kate got to see the midget wrestlers at a nearby bar!
