D.O.A. 1988

During the COVID-19 pandemic I've been busy with old slides and negatives from my misspent youth. In a file folder dated 1988 I found some negatives of DOA playing in what looks like Call the Office (York & Clarence in London, Ontario). They happen to match some slides I had scanned years earlier so I've added them as well. I posted these photos to the 1980's Punk Rockers in London, Ontario Facebook Group with this note:

Here's some recent photos of DOA at Call the Office, London sometime I believe in 1988. I found a negative sheet of ours with these photos. If anyone has any details about the event please share. My filing system was pretty crappy so the date might be off.

That's Joe Keithley (Joey Shithead) on guitar, Dave Greg on guitar, Brian Gobles (Wimpy Roy) on bass and, I think, Dimwit on drums.

Call the Office looked pretty seedy, even back then.

I've done a bit of searching to see if my recollection and filing is right and can find only a couple of references to DOA gigs in London around that time:

• 18/10/1982; Concert at The Embassy, London, ON, Canada. with Youth Youth Youth & Napalm Babys.
• 27/07/1985; Concert at Bullwinkle's, London, ON, Canada. with October Crisis.

Kate and I were at both of those concerts. If anyone has any details on this 1988 concert at what looks like CTO please let me know. I'm happy to correct my blog and jog fond memories. I did get a good response from my Facebook posting but no details to flesh things out better.

I've arbitrarily filed this entry as March 17, 1988 but that won't be the date of the actual concert. I only know/believe that it was sometime in 1988.
